PRACTICAL INFORMATION
VENUE | Conference Hall of the Institute of Physiology, Czech Academy of Sciences, Vídeňská 1083, 142 20 Prague 4
The venue is situated at the bus stop “Ústavy Akademie věd” (number of bus 138, 193 or 203). Parking is possible in the street: “K výzkumným ústavům”. The meeting room is located on the ground floor.
ACCOMMODATION IN PRAGUE | Accommodation isn’t included in Registration Fee. Accommodation will be managed on individual basis.
AIRPORT INFORMATION | Václav Havel Prague Airport is located on the northwest edge of Prague, around 17 kilometers north of the city. The journey from the airport to the city centre takes around 25-30 minutes by taxi or up to one hour by public transport.
PRAGUE TRANSPORT | Public Transport: 3 metro lines (A, B, C), trams and buses. The metro runs every 2 minutes during the rush hour and every 10 minutes off the rush hour. Tickets can be purchased in yellow machines at the public transportation stops or in newsstands. Information of Prague public transport can be found on the official website: www.dpp.cz/en.
TAXI | Many taxis in Prague do not accept credit cards! Although it is easy enough in the city centre to hail a taxi on the street, it is recommended a taxi booked in advance. The official fare is approximate (starting fee is 40 CZK plus 25 – 32 CZK per kilometer, plus 6 – 8 CZK per minute of waiting in traffic), so please check the price before you get into the car.
You can use Uber, Liftago, Wolt or Bolt taxi applications in Prague.

CURRENCY AND BANKING | Czech koruna (CZK) is the official currency in the Czech Republic.
ELECTRICITY | The Czech Republic uses a 230 volt 50 Hz system; sockets are the standard European type and two-prong round pin plugs, with a hole for a male grounding pin. To use electric appliances from your country you may need a special voltage converter with an adapter plug.

WEATHER | Prague is a city with a mild continental climate. The average temperature in the end of November varies around 2 – 5 °C.
REFRESHMENTS | Complimentary coffee breaks will be available at the venue. Each delegate may also purchase a voucher for lunch which will be served next to the conference hall.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE | The Conference Secretariat and organizers cannot accept responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property during the meeting. Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.

Force majeure includes any circumstance beyond the control of the event organizer, and that impedes permanent or temporary complication, such as war, revolts, strikes, pandemics, shut-out of workers, transportation difficulties, fire or severe disturbance affecting the event organization or its suppliers.
